The Plaice tool gives users easy access to commonly used and up to date business information, for use in their Word documents.
The list below outlines just some examples of information needed all the time by users when producing documentation, or filling in forms such as PQQs.
- registration numbers
- bank details
- insurance information
- accreditation details
- financial data
Whether creating a new document or filling in a form, Plaice ensures users have access to all the information they need, directly from the Word ribbon.
- Source data can be located in a common, network location, so that it is always up to date for all users
- Information available and the structure of the data is entirely flexible and can be adapted to individual business needs
- Up to 10 categories of information can be specified, with user definable data elements under each
- Structure and data is all controlled via a simple Excel spreadsheet
Just place the cursor where you want to insert information, in any Word document. Select the piece of information required from the Plaice tab on the Word ribbon, and it will be inserted at the current cursor position.
The example to the right shows a Plaice ribbon with 5 information categories set up (Company Information, Financial, Insurance, Quality and Other). The screen shot shows a user about to choose to insert their Public and Products Liability policy number.
No more searching around for that piece of company information, that you know you've used recently in another document, but can no longer find!
The information categories and the pieces of information underneath, can be updated or reconfigured at any time.
If the configuration information is stored in a common location for all users, any changes made will be immediately available to your entire team.
