We take InDesign concept files from graphic designers or creative agencies and create stable and practical Word templates
Templates and styles
The key to consistent documentation across teams using Microsoft Word, whether for bid documentation or not, is through the use of templates and styles. However, even once their use has been adopted, there are still a couple of challenges that need to be resolved in order for them to be fully effective.
Firstly, you need a stable and practical Word template, designed by somebody who knows the all the idiosyncrasies of Microsoft Word - what works and what doesn't. If your template is unstable or contains content that is potentially problematic, then all the documents you create with it are likely to exhibit the same problems.
We have over 20 years experience in using Microsoft Word, most of which gained in the challenging environment of bids and proposals. You just cannot afford to have unstable documents, when you are up against a bid delivery deadline.
Secondly, you need to ensure that every member of your team is not only using the template for their documentation, but using it properly.
Our macro enhanced templates are specifically designed to get people to use templates properly, regardless of their experience with using Word. They make it easy for the user to use the template correctly. They also make it more difficult for people to use the template in the wrong way and even harder for them to corrupt or break the template.
The majority of users, after using one of our macro templates for a relatively short amount of time, wonder how they ever got by without them. They don't look back!
