The first step towards consistent, high quality, customer-facing documentation, regardless of which member of your team produced it, is through the use of Word templates and styles. But, it is only a first step - to get truly consistent results across a team, you need to get them all working in the same way.
Most people fall into a way of working with Word which they are comfortable with, and they don't like to change. The problem is, that if you have five people in your team, all working with Word in the manner with which they are comfortable, you're going to get five different results.
Using Word templates and styles does provide the framework for consistency, but it assumes a reasonable amount of user experience with Word, knowing how to use these tools properly - experience which some team members may not have. Also, given the flexibility of Word, the use of templates and styles doesn't actually prevent members of your team from continuing to work in different ways and getting it wrong.

We can layout the customised ribbon just as you like - whatever suits your team and the way that they work best. We can even incorporate your branding into the ribbon and create icons for functionality specific to your template.

All the styles approved for use in your document in one place. No need to drop down into the styles pane and try to work out which style is the right one.
All other styles are locked down, minimising the risk of rogue styles creeping into your documentation.

Ensure consistent insertion of content
Whether it is a table, a graphic, or a case study - if you have content that you regularly need to insert into a document, looking a particular way, we can create a macro to ensure that content is always inserted correctly.
This functionality will then be available from the customised ribbon.
It would even be possible to populate content if you have copy that is repeated regularly. We can provide a number of methods for content re-use, from simply inserting standard header text into tables, to full content management and re-use solutions using a centralised SharePoint repository.

Our customised ribbon can also accommodate standard word controls and functions alongside the custom controls. Just choose the controls that you use regularly when working with your documents and we can incorporate them into the ribbon wherever suits your way of working best.
These standard controls can even be the less commonly used controls that are buried in the Word menu structure. By bringing them up and incorporating them within your custom ribbon, you and your team will never have to spend time hunting for them again!
As each template is created and tailored specifically to your requirements, we cannot provide set pricing for all eventualities.
But, we do want to give you an idea of the costs involved, so that you can see how cost effective and flexible our macro enhanced templates are. Buy just the features you want, keeping down the cost and maintaining a customised ribbon that is clean and uncluttered.
We also want to create an ongoing relationship with our customers, making sure that they are getting everything they need from their template, not just when they first take delivery, but on an ongoing basis.

We love to work with our customers to evolve their templates once they have them, and have started to use them. Often, once they have started working with their templates and realise the potential, they want extra features or styles, sometimes even altering the way features work to better suit their needs.
So, there is an initial cost for the template, created to your specific requirements, getting you up and running. There is then the option of buying additional features, or employing us on an hourly rate to make changes, or create custom functionality and automation.
Typically, it takes between 2 and 3 days to create a basic macro enhanced template - a day or so to create the template itself and another day to code the macros and customise the ribbon, depending on the complexity. So of course, if you already have a template and you just want us to create the customised ribbon, it will cost less.
